· to be familiar with
· to understand from experience or practice
· meet
- to come into the presence of; encounter: I met them at the airport. (=saw them)
to meet (UK) / to meet with (US): - to come together at an agreed place or time: We are meeting at 6pm
- to be introduced to someone (or each other): I met Tom's friend yesterday.
