Phrasal verbs with NO OBJECT (never separated)
Eg. Every morning, I get up at 8 o'clock.
I get at 8 o'clock up (WRONG) · be on (TV or at the cinema)

Phrasal verbs type 2
Phrasal verbs with an object ( they are separable, the object can go after or before the preposition)
· check out (a website that sounds interesting)

· putting a pronoun object after a separable phrasal verb.

· brake down= stop working
· carry out= do
· come round= come to someone's home
· come up with= to find or produce an answer / to think of
· give away= to give something to someone without asking for payment, e.g. as a present
· give out= distribute
· give up= stop something because you can't do it
· keep on= continue
· make up= invent
· pass on= to give something to someone especially after being given it, or after having used it yourself, e.g. baby clothes
· take on= employ
· take out= go somewhere with someone you have invited
· turn up= appear; raise a volume
